*****DFWAC Saturday Meets Moving to the Shops at Starwood*****

We are very excited to announce that The Shops at Starwood has invited us to move our weekly Saturday morning meets to their upscale shopping center in Frisco. Effective Saturday, August 1st all future meets will be held in their shopping center beginning at 8am.

We have been looking for a new venue for some time now and the Shops at Starwood has pretty much everything we were looking for..

A first class upscale shopping center in an affluent community
Lots of drive by traffic
Ample parking available with room for us to grow
Shade in the summer months
Gourmet coffee available
A nice variety of restaurants and eateries available
Property management/owners that support and appreciate having us in their shopping center
Permission to rope off parking areas for our meets
Permission to post signs along the road to promote the meets
Shop owners that are willing to offer discounts and or special events for club members

The Shops at Starwood is located on the southwest corner of Lebanon Rd and the Dallas North Tollway in Frisco. I have posted a map of the location and satellite image, which illustrates the parking area we will occupy until additional room is warranted. In addition to this thread I will plan to send out an email to everyone in the hopes as few as possible end up showing up to an empty parking lot at the old location. Please make an effort to spread the word so as many as possible are aware that the meet will be moving.

I am sure this goes without saying but for the benefit of those who may be new to the club or weekly car meets.. please remember that we are guests of The Shops at Starwood and it's a priveledge to have the red carpet rolled out the way they have to us. Please keep speeds and rpms in and around the property at a level that doesn't draw attention to your car. I believe the perks that will be available to us going forward and the overall enjoyment of our club's events will be greatly enhanced by the relationships we are building with the property owner, their public relations representative - Justine Sweeney with Sweeney Media Group and the employees, owners and patrons of the shops throughout the property.

Yes! In my neck of the woods. Nice!

No Starbucks...But it has a better coffee place named....It's a Grind Coffeehouse.

No Starbucks but plenty on your way.

Sorry the move makes your trip longer, the extra 5 minutes will be worth it.

If you take the toll road north past the now old spot. It is 3 - 5 mins or your time. Really! Just exit Lebanon take a left at the light and you are there.

It may take me now an additional five more minutes to get there.....too bad I dont have a fast car,....oh right! I do!
FYI-My car is one of the slower ones in the group so im sure a few of you can knock the time down to three minutes

The weekly meets are definitely on, rain or shine.. although if it's raining only the really hard core members show.
